This beautifully handcrafted set of wooden balls (or giant marbles) is sure to become of favorite in your toddler or young child's toy box. The six balls come in a rainbow of colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple, and are packaged in a cardboard half dozen egg carton that is also handy for storage when it's time to tidy up.

Each solid wood ball is 4.5 cm in diameter (about 1.8 inches). Sanded smooth by hand, colored with certified nontoxic, water-based stains, then finished with natural plant-based oil. No worrisome paint or lacquer is used, so parents can rest easy, even if a child puts a Grimm's toy in her mouth. Grimm's does not use lacquer in order to preserve the natural feel of the wood (which is in line with their aim to design toys according to principles of Waldorf and Montessori education).
